A Radio App with Sleep Timer That Actually Lets You Rest
Set a timer, drift off to your favorite station, and let the app handle the rest. Configurable duration, works for both radio and podcasts. No jarring silence — just a gentle pause when time's up.
Why a Sleep Timer Matters
Falling asleep to radio or a podcast is one of life's simple pleasures. But leaving it playing all night drains your battery, uses unnecessary data, and can wake you up hours later with random content. A good sleep timer solves all three problems.
How It Works
- Tap the moon icon (🌙) on the Now Playing screen.
- Choose a preset: 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes — or enter a custom duration.
- The timer counts down. Remaining time is shown on the player.
- When the timer reaches zero, playback pauses automatically.
- Cancel or extend the timer anytime with one tap.
Designed for Nighttime Use
The sleep timer isn't an afterthought — it's built into the player screen for quick access. Dark theme by default means no bright screen when you're setting the timer in a dark room. The timer display is subtle — a small countdown next to the moon icon, not a glaring notification.
Works with Radio and Podcasts
Whether you're listening to a late-night jazz station or working through a podcast backlog, the sleep timer works the same way. One timer, one tap, one peaceful night.
Beyond the Timer
LiveTune Radio is also designed for efficient background audio:
- Background playback — lock your phone, the audio continues. Lock screen controls let you adjust volume without unlocking.
- No interruptions — zero ads means no loud commercial waking you up at 3 AM.
Frequently Asked
Will the sleep timer stop my alarm?
No. The sleep timer only controls LiveTune Radio playback. Your phone's alarm, notifications, and other apps are unaffected.
What happens if I extend the timer mid-sleep?
You can tap the timer display on the player screen and choose a new duration at any time. The countdown resets to the new value.
Does the sleep timer save battery?
Yes — by pausing playback instead of letting it run all night, you save both battery and mobile data.
