Privacy Policy
LiveTune Radio ("the App") is published by Simatik. This policy explains how the App handles your information. We designed LiveTune Radio with privacy as a core principle.
No Account Required
The App does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number in order to use any feature.
Data Stored on Your Device
All of your preferences, favorites, listening history, ratings, notes, and categories are stored locally on your device using an on-device database. This data is never transmitted to our servers. If you delete the App, this data is permanently removed.
Locally stored data includes:
- Favorite stations and podcast subscriptions
- Listening history (last 50 entries)
- Ratings, notes, and custom categories
- App settings (theme, accent color, region, playback preferences)
- Cached station and podcast metadata for faster loading
- Episode playback progress
Third-Party Services
The App connects to the following third-party services to provide its core functionality:
- Radio Browser (radio-browser.info) — Provides the radio station directory. When you browse, search, or play a station, the App sends a request to their public API. Radio Browser may log API requests per their own policies.
- Podcast Index (podcastindex.org) — Provides podcast search, trending data, and category listings. API requests are authenticated but do not include personal information.
- iTunes Search API (Apple) — Used to fetch album art for currently playing tracks.
- MusicBrainz / Cover Art Archive — Fallback source for album art when iTunes returns no results.
- Google Favicon Service — Used to display station logos in lock screen and car displays.
These services receive network requests that include standard HTTP information (IP address, user agent). We do not add any personal identifiers to these requests.
Analytics & Crash Reporting
The App uses Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous diagnostics and basic usage analytics to improve stability and product quality.
These services may collect:
- Anonymous crash reports (device model, OS version, stack traces) to help us fix bugs
- Aggregate usage events (e.g. play station, search, subscribe) without personal identifiers
- No advertising identifiers (IDFA/GAID) are collected
- No personally identifiable information (name, email, precise location) is collected
Analytics event retention is configured for up to 2 months in our Google Analytics property. Google provides the underlying infrastructure for Analytics and Crashlytics; you can learn more at Firebase Privacy.
Advertising
The App does not display any advertisements and does not integrate any ad networks.
Push Notifications
The App may send local notifications to inform you about new podcast episodes from your subscriptions. These notifications are generated entirely on your device and are not sent through any external push notification service. You can disable notifications in your device settings at any time.
Location Data
The App does not request or access your GPS location. Region selection is done manually by you during first use, and this preference is stored locally on your device only.
Children
The App does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. The App does not require or request personal information from any user.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to any third party. Since all user data is stored exclusively on your device, we do not have access to it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
